Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd., together with its subsidiaries, explores, develops, produces, and sells oil, natural gas, and other energy resources in Japan, Europe, North America, and the Middle East. It also supplies domestic gas and LNG through high-pressure gas pipeline network, LNG terminals, and LNG satellite system; receives LNG, stores, and ships LNG in a vaporized gas or liquid form. In addition, company is involved in renewable energy projects; manages and operates grid-scale battery facilities; carbon neutral business; generation and sales of electric power; sales of biomass fuel; and provision of contract services for transportation of natural gas. Further, it engages in the provision of well drilling and engineering contracting, property management, pipeline maintenance and management, physical logging, and mosquito dragging work contracting services; manufacturing and sales of petroleum products; recycling of waste oil; and geophysical exploration contracting and technology development. Additionally, the company offers industrial disaster prevention; manufactures and sells drilling mud mixes; and engages in the operation and contracting of natural gas-fired power generation business. Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. was founded in 1955 and is headquartered in Chiyoda, Japan.
