Taoka Chemical Company, Limited manufactures and sells various chemicals in Japan and internationally. The company provides raw material for resists; one-component epoxy-based adhesives; cyanoacrylate- instant adhesives; and materials for electronic parts, as well as amide and ester imide, nylon, polyester, and polyimide varnishes. It also manufactures paper chemicals and water-soluble polymers; raw materials for drugs and diagnostic agents; and intermediates for agricultural chemicals. In addition, the company offers plasticizer for food product packaging and toys films, lubricants, floor materials, shoes, hoses, inks, rubber gloves, and food containers; methyl ester use in industrial detergents, shell mold applications, fine chemical intermediates, and base materials; dyes for fiber, paper, leather, and plastic; and functional pigments used in polarizing films, stationery, etc., as well as rubber additives, such as resin cross linking agents, tackifiers, and kneading type vulcanizing adhesives. Further, it develops and produces bisphenol derivatives; TBIS, an epoxy derivative; TBIS, an acid dianhydride; episulfide derivatives; and indole derivatives for various compounds for medical and agricultural chemical applications. The company was formerly known as Taoka Dystuffs Manufactur¬¬ing Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Taoka Chemical Company, Limited in 1972. The company was founded in 1919 and is headquartered in Osaka, Japan. Taoka Chemical Company, Limited operates as a subsidiary of Sumitomo Chemical Company, Limited.
