The company generates electricity through nuclear, thermal, hydro, solar, wind, and biomass sources. It is involved in the telecommunication services and information system services; cable TV broadcasting; study, designing, engineering, and maintenance of electricity related facilities; planning and designing of civil engineering and construction; engineering works for power supply facilities; and sales and engineering of electric water heaters and air-conditioning systems. In addition, the company engages in the construction and operation of LNG fuel bases; storage and delivery of LNG; investment and financing for overseas project; procurement, sales, and trading of coals; and manufacture and sales of automatic gauging control and information transmission systems. Further, it is involved in real estate businesses; planning and production of advertisements; office related services; and research and development on technologies related to electric utility business and other businesses. As of March 31, 2023, it operated electric power generating facilities with a total capacity of 5,280 MW, including 1,153 MW of hydro, 3,235 MW of thermal, 890 MW of nuclear, and 2 MW of solar power generating facilities. The company serves 7,686 million kWh residential, and 15,727 million kWh industrial and commercial customers.
