It is also involved in the planning and design of new dams; provision of solutions for existing dams; sediment disaster countermeasures, including disaster surveys and forecasts; planning, design, and maintenance of erosion control facilities, such as check dams and stream protection works; non-mechanical measures; design of pipes, drains, and related facilities; evaluation of the seismic performance of related structures; design of aseismic reinforcement works; detection of structural degradation; and formulation of asset management plans. The company was formerly known as Kensetsu Gijyutsu Co., Ltd. and changed its name to CTI Engineering Co., Ltd. in February 1964. The company was founded in 1944 and is headquartered in Chuo, Japan.
