It is involved in the retail of food, clothing, electrical goods, home furnishings, gifts, and DIY through retail outlets. The company also provides agency services provided to cruise or fishing vessels for supplying provisions, trips to and from the airport and medical evacuations; third party port services; car maintenance; penguin travel from tourist tours and airport trips; and third-party freight services. In addition, it provides passenger ferry services; and owns and leases residential properties to individuals and business users, such as oil services companies, ministry of defense contractors, and fishing companies. The company was formerly known as Falkland Islands Holdings plc and changed its name to FIH group plc in September 2016. FIH group plc was incorporated in 1851 and is based in Bishop's Stortford, the United Kingdom.
