It operates through four segments: General Adult English Training, Overseas Training Services, Online English Training, and Junior English Training. The General Adult English Training segment delivers English course based on customers' needs and in a convenient classroom setting at learning centers located in the PRC. The Overseas Training Services segment offers English test preparation courses training; consulting related to overseas study; and short-term study abroad programs services. The Online English Training segment provides tutorial courses through an online platform Likeshuo. The Junior English Training segment offers courses to students aged between six to 18 in a convenient classroom setting at learning centers located in the PRC. The company also provides technology development services. As of December 31, 2019, it had a network of 148 learning centers covering 36 cities in 18 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities of China, which comprise 132 learning centers and 16 franchised learning centers; and approximately 1.2 million registered users on Likeshuo platform. The company operates its learning centers under the ABC and Meten brands. EdtechX Holdings Acquisition Corp. was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Shenzhen, China.
