It sells its products to opticians, optometrists, ophthalmologists, retail chains, department stores, specialty retailers, boutiques, duty free, and sports stores through a network of independent distribution partners, direct-to-consumer e-commerce platforms, and online sales channels. The company was formerly known as Società Azionaria Fabbrica Italiana Lavorazione Occhiali S.p.A. and changed its name to Safilo Group S.p.A. in June 2007. Safilo Group S.p.A. was founded in 1878 and is headquartered in Padua, Italy.
