DKS Co. Ltd., together with its subsidiaries, engages in the production and sale of surfactants, other industrial chemicals, and life sciences-related products in Japan and internationally. The company operates through six segments: Surfactants, Amenity Materials, Polyurethane Materials, Functional Materials, Electronic Device Materials, and Life Sciences. It provides nonionic, anionic, cationic, and amphoteric surfactants; sucrose fatty acid esters, cellulose polymers, vinyl polymer materials, acrylic polymer materials; polyether polyols, urethane prepolymers, urethane systems; radcure resin materials, waterborne polyurethane resins, flame retardants, amide-based lubricants; ionic liquids, battery materials, conductive pastes for electronic components, pellets for injection molding; health foods; and other products. The company also offers electronic materials, such as mounting, packaging, printed circuit board, glass cloth; display materials, including monitors, flames, anti-reflection films, polarizing plates, and backlight units; sugar-derived and sucrose benzoates, photocurable resin, polylactic acid modifier, waterborne polyurethanes, and petrochemical-free surfactants; and battery materials comprising additives for positive/negative electrodes and separators, adhesives, electrolyte materials, and chain explosion prevention agents. In addition, it provides conductive pastes, potting agents, and matrix resins; paints/coatings, interior and exterior, electric/lithium-ion battery components, rubber and tire parts, structure, and other materials; personal care products and detergents; food and pharmaceutical additives; deodorizing, fragrance; and foods with functional claims, as well as products for agriculture, printing and inks, paints and insulating, civil engineering and construction. The company was formerly known as Dai-ichi Kogyo Seiyaku Co., Ltd. and changed its name to DKS Co. Ltd. in 2013. DKS Co. Ltd. was founded in 1909 and is based in Kyoto, Japan.
