It offers various paper chemicals for the manufacture of books, newspapers, tissues, and other types of papers, including water-repellents, sizing agents, paper surface improving agents, and paper strengthening agents for the strength of paper and corrugated cardboard. The company also provides functional coating chemicals, such as printing inks for offset printing; book (magazine)-gravures and food-package-gravures; resins as raw material of paint or film coating; and release agents for release papers. In addition, it offers tackifiers for adhesive agents or tapes; polymerization emulsifiers for producing synthetic rubber; ester gums that enhance chewing sensations; and hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins under the ARKON brand. Further, the company provides electronic parts, such as precise parts cleaning agents; electronic solder; and cleaning systems and peripheral equipment. Additionally, it offers Thermoplastic Polyimide Solutions; Organic-Inorganic hybrid resins; and Hybrid Polyimide Films. The company was formerly known as Arakawa Forest Chemical Industries, Ltd. and changed its name to Arakawa Chemical Industries, Ltd. in April 1977. Arakawa Chemical Industries, Ltd. was founded in 1876 and is headquartered in Osaka, Japan.
