Tokyu Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the transportation, real estate, life service, and hotel and resort businesses in Japan and internationally. It operates railways, including nine Tokyo lines in eastern Kanagawa Prefecture and 110.7 km of southwestern Tokyo with 99 stations. The company is also involved in urban development projects; runway maintenance and management for airports; railway inspection; and design and construction of railway-related electrical works. In addition, it engages in the development and sale of residential land; construction and sale of houses and other properties; real estate consulting; leasing of office buildings and other properties; real estate brokerage; property management for buildings; real estate management and construction; and building management activities. Further, the company operates department stores and shopping centers, as well as operates and manages hotels, resorts, and golf courses. Additionally, it provides advertising, cable television, electric power, and internet connection services. The company was incorporated in 1922 and is headquartered in Shibuya, Japan.
