Star Equity Holdings, Inc., a diversified holding company, engages in the construction business in the United States. It operates through two segments, Building Solutions and Investments. The Building Solutions division manufactures modular housing units, structural wall panels, permanent wood foundation systems, and other engineered wood products for residential and commercial construction projects; and manufactures glue-laminated timber products (glulam) for various end markets and applications, including agriculture, industrial, infrastructure, and building construction under KBS, EdgeBuilder, Glenbrook, and TT brands. This segment also supplies building materials, such as lumber, windows, doors, cabinets, drywall, roofing, decking, and other building materials to professional builders, general contractors, and retail customers. The Investments division holds and manages its corporate-owned real estate assets and investments. The company was formerly known as Digirad Corporation and changed its name to Star Equity Holdings, Inc. in December 2020. Star Equity Holdings, Inc. was founded in 1985 and is headquartered in Old Greenwich, Connecticut.
