It holds interests in the Taranaki basin located on the North Island of New Zealand; and a 100% interest in the Petroleum Lease 17 permit that covers 120,340 acres in ATP 2037 and 138,132 acres in ATP 2038 located in the Surat Basin in Australia. The company was formerly known as Durum Cons. Energy Corp. and changed its name to TAG Oil Ltd. in June 2002. TAG Oil Ltd. was incorporated in 1990 and is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
